MESSAGE OF THANKS TO BARGAINING TEAMS
With the ratification of the Canada Post, PA, FB, SV, EB, Parks Canada, CFIA and SSO collective agreements, the recent round of collective bargaining has come to an end for over one hundred thousand PSAC members. We could not have concluded these agreements without your commitment, dedication and hard work, for which your union is immensely thankful.
After so many months of travel and long hours at the bargaining table, the period of ratification can be particularly demanding on bargaining team members. Over the months of December and January, you were asked to travel extensively and speak to dozens of groups of members about the tentative agreement. Again, I want you to know that this work did not go unnoticed and that your willingness to engage directly with the members played a large part in arriving at ratification.
I also want to salute the work that continues to be done by members of the TC bargaining team. Your job continues and rest assured that PSAC continues to stand by you as you pursue arbitration for the TC membership.
On behalf of all of the members you diligently represented, and on behalf of the entire Alliance Executive Committee, I want to thank you for your personal effort, your professionalism, your activism, and the service you have rendered to your union.
