PIC dates set for TC Bargaining
The TC bargaining team is preparing for conciliation. Dates for the Public Interest Commission have been established for the week of November 12-16, 2012.
Teams for both the Union and Treasury Board will argue their outstanding issues before the three-person PIC, which includes a sidesperson chosen by each team and a mutually-agreed upon chairperson.
The PIC has 30 days following the hearing to report its findings. Although the recommendations of the PIC are not binding, they will have considerable weight as the parties try to reach a new collective agreement.
