UPDATE ON THE CLASSIFICATION CONVERSION

It has been a long road to make it through the classification conversion, but the final steps are now in place to finish this process.

Your bargaining team has secured dates for the classification conversion arbitration.  While the dates are still a little ways down the road, we will be with an arbitration board on Jan 14-16 and again on February 18.

At that time, we will be making our case in front of an arbitration board.  This will ultimately result in the board making a ruling that will give us a new pay grid, and all rules that will be in place for the conversion to the new system.

We remain committed to getting you the best deal possible and we will spend our time preparing all that we need to make a solid case.  We want to ensure that people are correctly compensated and classified.  Going to arbitration will allow us to put our case in front of a neutral third party who is mandated to resolve the issues.

We will keep everyone updated through the process.
