What are they waiting for?

Over twelve years ago, the Conservative Government finally legislated a labour law to protect its own employees that had support from all political parties. It is time now for the Liberal Government to enact the law and stop this self-serving injustice.

We are once again asking the question to the House of Commons as to why the government is still not proclaiming a section of the Act that will protect employees on Parliament Hill. No one seems to know why the government is not promoting the proclamation of this legislation.

For many years, numerous questions, statements and speeches have been made by members of the NDP and all of which have failed to reveal any substantive response as to why the government has failed to proclaim Part III of PESRA.
